Thanks for the hitbox tips from other posters, it's the first time I heard of it, might buy one. The first time I played with a joystick it made my whole arm cramp and I performed like it was the first time I played any games. For the life of me, I can't get used to a joystick since I never touched one growing up.
I guess in the end, it's what we're practiced with and used to.
It allows smoother hadoken/shoryuken movements and less thumb blisters. I don't really like mechnical because of the noise they make, do I have any alternative options?įor the D-pad, I usually put a cloth over it before I play any fighting games with a controller, or just cover it with the T-shirt I'm wearing. I'm having trouble what the few buttons keyboard since I got a generic one that can only register 3 or 4 buttons at once. The only way of playing Dark Souls, without commiting IRL suicide. This has nothing to do with fighting games, I'm just saying it. It's also much-much slower, and a lot less precise to move the camera with the right stick, then with a mouse. Shoulder/trigger buttons make no sense, unless you are using a fightpad with a 6 button layout. A huge ammount of players have problems with executing even hadouken motions with it. If you are looking for a good quality d-pad it will be cheaper then a good KB, or a good stick.
Street fighter 5 pc keyboard mod#
Some players say it's harder to tap forward for dash then on a d-pad, but they should really just mod their stick with a bigger actuator. If you are transitioning from keyboard, button distances needs getting used to more then the actual joystick. Sanwa/saimitsu is basically the same kinda stuff you played with on arcade machines back in the days. I'm only struggling with 3xQCF, but I'm still new to fightsticks. Select System once the Settings app opens. After the Start menu appears, click on the Settings gear icon. Inputs are pretty easy, 360 motion is a walk in the park. Turn off the feature for Street Fighter V and check if the startup issue occurs again: Press the Windows logo button on your keyboard to open the Start menu.
Street fighter 5 pc keyboard update#
Original Story: Following the release of a new update for Street Fighter V, PC players are reporting a potential security risk the game currently. or maybe there are keyboards for PS4s too, IDK. We'll report back as more details are shared. tho if you know soldering, you can probably build something with a PS4 controller board and some Cherry MX switches, and button caps. If you visit tournaments, or want to play on consoles too, it might not be the best option. You can buy a mechanic KB to solve this, it's usually still cheaper then a fight stick. You can only press a few buttons once, which can be a problem. Easiest to input special moves, except 360 motion, that can be a pain depending on how you mapped your buttons. Also played a lot with standard d-pad controllers.
I played with a keyboard before, and just recently switched to a fightstick.
